In the name of Allah, |
Bismillahir rahmanir rahim |
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم |
Peace be on you, O the son of the Messenger of Allah! | assalaamu a’layka yabna rasoolillaah | اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ |
Peace be on you, O the son of the Ameer ul Moomineen! | assalaamu a’layka yabna ameeril moomineen | اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ اَميرِ الْمُؤْمِنينَ |
Peace be on you, O the son of the truthful pure Fatimah, the leader of the women of the worlds! | assalaamu a’layka yabnas’ s’iddeeqatit’ t’aahirati faat’imata sayyidati nisaaa-il a’alameen | اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ الصِّديقَةِ الطّاهِرَةِ فاطِمَةَ سَيِّدَةِ نِسآءِ الْعالَمينَ |
Peace be on you, O my Mawlaa! O Aba Abdillah, and the mercy and blessings of Allah! | assalaamu a’layka yaa mawlaaya yaa abaa a’bdillaah wa rah’matullaahi wa barakaatuh | اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يا مَوْلاىَ يا اَبا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكاتُهُ |
I bear witness that you established the prayers, gave the prescribed share to the needy, | ashhadu annaka qad aqamatas’ s’alaata wa aataytaz zakaata | اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ قَدْ اَقَمْتَ الصَّلوةَ وَآتَيْتَ الزَّكو ةَ |
commanded to do that which is right and lawful, not to do that which is wrong and unlawful, | wa amarta bil maa’-roofi wa nahayta a’nil munkar | وَاَمَرْتَ بِالْمَعْروُفِ وَنَهَيْتَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ |
studied and cherished the ideas of the Book as ought to be, | wa talawatal kitaabi h’aqqa tilaawatihi | وَتَلَوْتَ الْكِتابَ حَقَّ تِلاوَتِهِ |
strived in the way of Allah, leaving no stone unturned, while directing affairs in the light of the boundaries laid down by Allah, | wa jaahadta fillaahi h’aqqa jihaadihi | وَجاهَدْتَ فِى اللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهادِهِ |
exercised self-control bravely in the midst of offensive provocations, till the inevitable came unto you. | wa s’abarta a’lal ad’aa fee janbihi muh’tasiban h’attaa ataakal yaqeen | وَصَبَرْتَ عَلَى الاَْذى فى جَنْبِهِ مُحْتَسِباً حَتّى اَتيكَ الْيَقينُ |
I bear witness that those who opposed you and waged war against you, | ashhadu annallad’eena khaalafooka wa h’aarabooka | اَشْهَدُ اَنَّ الَّذينَ خالَفُوكَ وَحارَبُوكَ |
those who abandoned you, and those who killed you, | wallad’eena kha’dalooka wallad’eena qatalooka | وَالَّذينَ خَذَلُوكَ وَالَّذينَ قَتَلُوكَ |
are the accursed as per the declaration of the Prophet whom no one gave lessons. | mal-o’onoona a’laa lisaanin nabiyyil ummiyy | مَلْعُونُونَ عَلى لِسانِ النَّبِىِّ الاُْمِّىِ |
Verily, whoso tells a lie is a loser. | wa qad khaaba manif-taraa | وَقَدْ خابَ مَنِ افْتَرى |
Curse of Allah be on those who persecuted you, from among the pioneers and the followers, ever growing tormenting punishment. | la-a’nallaahuz’ z’aalimeena lakum minal awwaleena wal aakhireen wa z”aa-a’fa a’layhimul a’d’aabal aleem | لَعَنَ اللَّهُ الظّالِمينَ لَكُمْ مِنَ الاَْوَّلينَ وَالاْ خِرينَ وَضاعَفَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْعَذابَ الاَْليمَ |
I have come to you O my Mawlaa the son of the Messenger of Allah, | ataytuka yaa mawlaaya yabna rasoolillaah | اَتَيْتُكَ يا مَوْلاىَ يَا بْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ |
for your “ziyaarat”, fully aware of your rights, closely attached to your friends, hostile to your enemies, | zaa-iran a’arifan bih’aqqika muwaaliyan li-awliyaaa-ika mu-a’adiyan li-aa’-daaa-ika | زائِراً عارِفاً بِحَقِّكَ مُوالِياً لاَِوْلِيآئِكَ مُعادِياً لاَِعْدآئِكَ |
attentive and alive to the guidance which you had and made known, mindful of the waywardness which leads to your opposition, | mustabs’iran bil hudal lad’ee anta a’layhi a’arifan biz”alaalati man khaalafaka | مُسْتَبْصِراً بِالْهُدَى الَّذى اَنْتَ عَلَيْهِ عارِفاً بِضَلالَةِ مَنْ خالَفَكَ |
so, speak on my behalf to your Lord. | fashfaa’-lee i’nda rabbika | فَاشْفَعْ لى عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ |
Peace be on you, O the decisive argument of Allah on His earth and in His heaven. | assalaamu a’layka yaa h’ujjatallaahi fee arz”ihi wa samaaa-ihi | اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يا حُجَّةَ اللَّهِ فى اَرْضِهِ وَسَمآئِهِ |
Blessings of Allah be on your refined soul and pure body | s’allallaahu a’laa rooh’ikat’ t’ayyibi wa jasadikat’ t’aahir | صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلى روُحِكَ الطَّيِّبِ وَجَسَدِكَ الطّاهِرِ |
and peace be on you, O my Mawlaa also mercy and blessings of Allah. | wa a’laykas salaamu yaa mawlaaya wa rah’matullaahi wa barakaatuh | وَعَلَيْكَ السَّلامُ يا مَوْلاىَ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكاتُهُ |
Ziyarat of ‘Ali-Akbar : |

Peace be on you, O my master,and the son of my master, | Assalamu alayka ya Mawlaya wabna Mawlay | اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يا مَوْلاىَ وَابْنَ مَوْلاىَ |
Mercy of Allah (he on you),and His blessings. | wa rahmatullahe wa barakatuh | وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكاتُهُ |
May Allah curse he who oppressed you | laanallahu man zalamaka | لَعَنَ اللَّهُ مَنْ ظَلَمَكَ |
and may Allah curse he who killed you, | wa laanallahu man qatalaka | وَلَعَنَ اللَّهُ مَنْ قَتَلَكَ |
and increase on them the painful punishment. | wa zaafa alayhemol azabal alim | وَضاعَفَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْعَذابَ الاَْليمَ |
Ziyarat of the other martyrs : |

Peace be on you, O the truthful ones. | Assalamu alaykum ayyohal seddiqun | اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكُمْ اَيُّهَا الصِّدّيقُونَ |
Peace be on you, O the patient martyrs. | Assalamu alaykum ayyohashohadao ssaberoun | اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكُمْ اَيُّهَا الشُّهَدآءُ الصّابِرُونَ |
I bear witness that you,struggled in the way of Allah, | Ashhadu annakum fi sabilellahe | اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكُمْ جاهَدْتُمْ فى سَبيلِ اللَّهِ |
and were patient in troubles on the side of Allah, | wa sabartum alalaza fi janbellah | وَصَبَرْتُمْ عَلَى الاَْذى فى جَنْبِ اللَّهِ |
and you exhorted (in the way of),Allah and His Messenger , Until death came to you. | wa nasahtumullahe va lerasoulehi hatta atakumo yaqin | وَنَصَحْتُمْ لِلَّهِ وَلِرَسُولِهِ حَتّى اَتيكُمُ الْيَقينُ |
I bear witness that you are alive | Ashhadu annakum ahya | اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكُمْ اَحْيآءٌ |
being sustained by Your Lord. | enda rabbekum torzaqun | عِنْدَ رَبِّكُمْ تُرْزَقُونَ |
May Allah reward you, on behalf of Islam and its people | fajazakumullahu anel eslame va ahleh | فَجَزاكُمُ اللَّهُ عَنِ الاِْسْلامِ وَاَهْلِهِ |
the best reward of the doers of good. | afzala jazael mohsenin | اَفْضَلَ جَزآءِ الْمُحْسِنينَ |
And (may He) unite us with you, in the place of blessings (Heaven) |
wa jamaa baynana va baynakum fi mahallennaim | وَجَمَعَ بَيْنَنا وَبَيْنَكُمْ فى مَحَلِّ النَّعيمِ |
Ziyarat of Hadhrat Abbas (AS) |

Peace be on you, O son of Ameerul Mu’mineen. | Assalamu alayka yabna amirelmomenin | اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ يَابْنَ اَميرِ الْمُؤْمِنينَ |
Peace be on you, O the virtuous servant, | Assalamu alayka ayyohal abdossaleh | اَلسَّلامُ عَلَيْكَ اَيُّهَا الْعَبْدُ الصّالِحُ |
obedient to Allah and His Messenger. | almotio lellahe va leasouleh | الْمُطيعُ لِلَّهِ وَلِرَسُولِهِ |
I bear witness that you struggled, and advised (others) | Ashhado annaka ghad jahadta va nasahta | اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ قَدْ جاهَدْتَ وَنَصَحْتَ |
and were patient until death came to you. | wa sabarta hatta atakalyaqin | وَصَبَرْتَ حَتّى اَتيكَ الْيَقينُ |
May Allah curse those who oppressed you, | laanallahozzalemina lakum | لَعَنَ اللَّهُ الظّالِمينَ لَكُمْ |
from the first ones to the last, | menal avvalina valakherin | مِنَ الاَْوَّلينَ وَالاْ خِرينَ |
and keep them in the bottom of the Fire. | waalhaqahum bedarkel jahim | وَاَلْحَقَهُمْ بِدَرْكِ الْجَحيمِ |
