Verse No. 96
إِنَّ أَوَّلَ بَيْتٍ وُضِعَ لِلنَّاسِ لَلَّذِي بِبَكَّةَ مُبَارَكًا وَهُدًى لِّلْعَالَمِينَ
“The most important shrine established for the people is the one in Becca; a blessed beacon for all the people”.
Verse No. 97
فِيهِ آيَاتٌ بَيِّـنَاتٌ مَّقَامُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمَن دَخَلَهُ كَانَ آمِنًا وَلِلّهِ عَلَى النَّاسِ حِجُّ الْبَيْتِ مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلاً وَمَن كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ الله غَنِيٌّ عَنِ الْعَالَمِينَ
There are manifest Signs in it; it is the place of Abraham; and whosoever enters it, is safe. And pilgrimage to the House is a duty which men - those who can find a way thither - owe to Allah. And whosoever disbelieves it, let him remember that Allah is surely Independent of all creatures.
