In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
1. By the heavens full of constellations,
2. By the promised Day,
3. By the witness and the witnessed,
4. The fellows of the ditch self-destructed,
5. Of the Fire with fuel.
6. They sat facing it,
7. Witnessing what they did to the believers,
8. They tormented them for naught except that they believed in God, the ever-Prevalent, the Most Praised,
9. He to Whom the kingdom of the heavens and the earth belongs, and God witnesses all things.
10. Verily those who persecute the believing men and women, and do not repent it, for them shall be the chastisement of Hell, and for them is the torture of burning.
11. Verily, for those who believe and do good deeds shall be gardens beneath which rivers flow; that is the great achievement.
12. Verily the grip of your Lord is mighty.
13. Verily He originates (everything) and causes it to return,
14. He is the oft-Forgiving, the Most Compassionate,
15. Lord of the Glorious Throne,
16. The Mighty Doer of whatever He pleases.
17. Has not the story of the hosts come to you-
18. (The story) of Pharaoh and Thamud?
19. Nay! Those who disbelieve are used to falsify.
20. While God is encompassing over them.
21. Nay! It is a Glorious Qur’an,
22. (Inscribed) in the guarded tablet.
