In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
1. By the sun and his radiation,
2. By the moon when she follows after him,
3. By daytime when it unfolds its light;
4. By night-time when it enshrouds it;
5. By the sky and of which it is built;
6. By the earth and what expands it;
7. By the soul as it is perfected.,
8. He inspired to it (against) its vices and about its virtues;
9. Indeed he who purifies it shall succeed,
10. And indeed he who corrupts it shall fail!
11. Thamud rejected (the truth) due to their rebellious impiety,
12. When the worst wretch among them rose up (with mischief),
13. Then the messenger of God (Salih) said to them: “It is the she-camel of God, (so leave her) and its drink!”
14. But they rejected him and hamstrung her, so their Lord crushed them for their sins and levelled them (with the ground);
15. He fears no consequence.
