THE VIRTUE OF PRAYER IN THE SACRED MOSQUE
Imam Reza (a.s) quotes his honorable ancestors and Imam Baqir as saying: صَلاةٌ ÙÙŠ المَسجÙد٠الØَرام٠أÙضَل٠مÙÙ† Ù…Ùائَة٠ألÙ٠صَلاة٠ÙÙŠ غَيرÙÙ‡Ù Ù…ÙÙ† المَساجÙدÙ.
?One Rakat of prayer in the Sacred Mosque is better than a hundred thousand Rakat of prayer in other mosques.?1
THE VIRTUE OF READING THE WHOLE QURAN IN MECCA
Imam Baqir (a.s) says: Ù…ÙŽÙ† خَتَمَ القÙرآنَ بمَكّةَ Ù…ÙÙ† جÙÙ…Ùعَة٠إلى جÙÙ…Ùعَة٠وأقَلَّ Ù…ÙÙ† ذلكَ وأكثَرَ وخَتَمَه٠ÙÙŠ يَوم٠الجÙمعَة٠كَتَبَ الله٠له٠مÙÙ† الأجْر٠والØَسنات٠مÙÙ† أوّل٠جمÙعَة٠كانتْ ÙÙŠ الدّÙنيا إلى آخÙر٠جمÙعَة٠تكون٠ÙÙيها، وإنْ خَتَمه٠ÙÙŠ سائÙر٠الأيّام٠Ùكَذلكَ.
?Whoever reads the whole Quran in Mecca within a week, less or more, and finishes it on Friday, Allah will write for him as many rewards as Fridays in this world. If he reads the whole Quran on other days, the same rewards will be written for him.?2
