Wine and Medicine
According to the traditions of the Ahl ul-Bayt (a.s.) to take wine as medicine is also HarÄm. Rather, the Ahl ul-Bayt (a.s.) have prohibited the consumption of any intoxicant as medicine. The jurists unanimously agree that one should refrain from consuming any intoxicant to cure a disease or to ward off pain. Allah (S.w.T.) has not reposed any curative effect in any intoxicant.
