In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
1. By the heavens and the nightly visitant,
2. -What will let you know what the nightly visitant is?
3. (It is) the star of piercing radiance-
4. There is no soul without a watcher!
5. Let man then reflect about what he is created of;
6. He is created of ejected water,
7. Coming forth from between the backbone and the ribs,
8. Verily He is well-Able to resurrect him,
9. On the Day when all hidden things shall be tried,
10. Then for him there shall be neither power nor any to help.
11. By the heavens endued with rotation,
12. And by the earth endued with splitting (and sprouting),
13. Verily it (Qur’an) is a decisive word,
14. And it is not a jest.
15. Verily they scheme quite a scheming,
16. And I, too, do scheme such a scheme,
17. So respite the disbelievers; let them alone for a while.
